Educated Bovines

Girls Friday

This is where my knowledge of country pursuits starts to get a little flaky: I think I know the difference between a bull and cow, but upon inspection, discovered that these ladies had both horns and udders, so I’m persuaded they are lady oxen.

As Wikipedia says here, "An ox is nothing more than a mature bovine with an education." Their mild manners suggested they’d been to school!
