Tenerife weather on red alert: November 28, 2010

It doesn’t get any higher than a RED ALERT for extreme weather – in this case, heavy rainfall and high winds – so it’s probably best to wrap up and stay indoors until it passes. This red alert is operative on the three smaller islands of the province of Tenerife; La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro today, but will be extended to include Tenerife and part of Gran Canaria, Monday.

Fluent in Spanish and having spent 16 years on the island, Pamela Stocks has now been translating, researching and publishing information on customs and events in Tenerife for 25+ years. This takes a considerable amount of time and effort, for which she receives no payment whatsoever. If you find this work useful or interesting, please buy her a coffee. Buy Pamela Stocks a Coffee
