Almond in Winter

Almond in Winter

An almond tree - behind it a Canary Islands palm and, in front, a little zen-like rock ornament - taken a week before Christmas in the gardens around the Finca Los Pedregales in the El Palmar valley. Notice the abundant weeds yellow spring flowers popping up everywhere and how green everything is, despite the time of year.

There are also a few early blossoms: within days it was in full bloom.

See where this picture was taken. [?]
