Weather Alert: Waves of 4 to 5 meters

As our friends at Walking Tenerife mentioned yesterday, there’s an ORANGE alert in effect today and tomorrow around the coasts the Canary Islands because of high seas. Although, as they explain, large waves (forecast for up to 4 or 5 meters) are not uncommon at this time of year, do take heed of the warnings: “Walking on sea walls during these alerts can be extremely dangerous so pay attention to police tape in places like Garachico and Puerto de la Cruz.”
