Carnival of Santa Cruz 2014

The Carnival of the capital, this year dedicated to cartoons, starts on January 31 with the presentation of the candidates to the Queen of the Carnival. Thereafter, all is colour, rhythm and fun in Santa Cruz. Contests set the mood for the entire month of February and finally, on Friday 28, the opening parade, the first major event of the Carnival with hundreds of thousands of participants taking the streets of the city to announce that once again the Tenerife Carnival is a great participatory party. That's just the beginning of a week of masked balls until dawn, the daytime carnival and parades full of colour and joy.
