We’ve cut down on spending over here

A SURVEY by supermarket chain Eroski reveals that the average family spend in the Canaries has dropped by 36% in the past six years.

The company, investigating the recession’s effect on household outlay, studied spending between 2006 and 2012 – from pre-recession to the extremely difficult times two years ago.

It took into account items such as expenses, food, clothing and footwear, utilities, education, transport and communication.
