Garachico will host FICMEC 2014, the Festival Internacional de Cine Medioambental de Canarias
(International Environmental Film Festival of the Canaries), a
celebration of films all focused in one way or another on the
environment. The event is being held between 28 May and 1 June in the
former convent of San Francisco. The festival will have official
sections for cinematic fiction, documentary and animation, and will
include parallel and educational activities.
