Beware the heat!

AS the summer temperatures start to kick in, Spain's Health Ministry has issued preventive measures in case of extreme temperatures.

The guidelines are especially applicable to the most vulnerable members of the population – the elderly, children and people with chronic illnesses.

A heatwave alert will be sparked if the minimum and maximum temperatures exceed a certain threshold: for the Canaries, it must exceed 23°C (73°F), and the maximum must exceed 33°C (91°F).
