Sunday Market Closes

THE popular Los Cristianos Market, which attracts thousands of tourists and residents every Sunday, has been closed down. But the owners are extremely confident that they will reopen next weekend. As many as 400 stalls serve up to 6,000 customers, and stall-owners will be stunned by the development. The dramatic closure is the latest twist in a long-running saga, dating back to the end of last summer.
