House prices on the slide

A NEW report from the Evaluation Society makes grim reading for home-owners.

It suggests that the average price of accommodation fell 6.5% in the second quarter of 2014 in the Canaries compared with the same period last year.

However, there is better news nationally. In Spain, the average land price stood at 1,328 euros per square metre at the end of the second quarter, representing a 4.5% increase from the previous quarter, when the house prices stood at 1,270 euros per/sqm.
