Airport Strikes to Cause Misery

WITH tourist figures and airport arrivals at record levels, the last thing Tenerife needs is a summer of travel disruption.

But unless a late deal can be agreed, there will be a raft of staff walk-outs at both airports over the next few weeks. And that will cause summer-holiday chaos.

Staff unions are up in arms at the proposed sale of 49% of AENA, the national body in charge of airports and air navigation in Spain.
