Whale of a problem

THERE are plenty of unanswered questions surrounding the shock discovery of a whale on a Canarian beach this week.

Tenerife Cabildo’s Environment Department has confirmed that a a pygmy sperm whale was found on a beach at Barranco de La Torre, just three weeks after another whale washed up on another beach.

It is unclear what caused the beaching, but fingers are being pointed at the oil exploration off the coasts of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
