Things to do on a Cloudy Day in the South of Tenerife

It’s winter on Tenerife. Some people don’t like to mention the ‘W’ word, or admit that Tenerife enjoys anything other than perpetual summer temperatures.

I’ve often wondered if there’s a secret science lab on the island where people go to have memories of gloomy days erased and replaced with ones of cloudless blue skies.

But we do have a winter on Tenerife. It’s not a particularly long one, and it certainly isn’t a particularly cold one by Northern European standards. If temperatures drop below 20C at the coast we raise a quizical eyebrow and wonder if it’s a sign that the world is about to end.
