Underwater volcano study

THE Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) this week confirmed a major, three-year survey of a submarine volcano between Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

Seismic data recorded over the last couple of years has led to the action as activity in the region increases.

The submarine volcano is located in an area of deep water, almost 3,000ft in size.
