Cabildo bans mountain fires and BBQs as heatwave expected from tomorrow

With meteorologists forecasting a sudden heatwave starting tomorrow and building up to temperatures which could reach 40º or so in the medianías on Monday, the Tenerife Cabildo has put in place a ban on all fires in the mountains from this Sunday, 28 June. No agricultural burn-offs will be permitted, nor work with machinery, and of course fireworks and BBQs in recreational areas are ruled out as well.
