Author details surviving Tenerife aviation disaster in 1977

Alexander was a passenger on Pan Am flight 1477, one of two Boeing 747 jumbo jets that collided on the island of Tenerife in March 1977, killing more than 583 passengers and crew. It was the worst aviation disaster in history. He has written a book, "Never Wait for the Fire Truck," which recounts the details of the tragedy and how it led to reforms in commercial air travel.
