Celebrate St Patrick’s Day in Adeje

Clio O’Flynn, Adeje Communications Officer, is herself Irish, and as she says, Thursday, 17 March, is the day when the wearing of the green is practically obligatory – if you’re Irish that is. And according to the experts, over 80 million people worldwide claim to be – in part at least, and more than a few are living in Adeje. However the celebration of St Patrick is for everyone – it’s probably the most internationally celebrated national saint’s day in the world. And given the fact that the man himself was Welsh, not Irish, he is also a symbol of integration through emigration. So where better to celebrate this year that in the town that is also a celebration of multi-culturalism and integration – Adeje?
