The final weekend of Los Cristianos Carnival seems to have come around so quickly, but here it is, with the Carnaval de Día (Daytime Carnival) events on Saturday, 12th March and the Gran Coso Apoteósico del Carnaval (Carnival Main Parade) on Sunday, 13th March, from 4pm. For more details, see: Los Cristianos International Carnival Programme 2016. Here's a video from last year's parade to whet your appetite:

Monday, 14th March from 8:30 pm is the Entierro de la Sardina (Burial of the Sardine) and the end of carnival party, which really will be the last of carnival in 2016. Missed it all, want more? Then take a look at our Tenerife Carnival Dates for 2017.

If for some strange reason, carnival isn't your thing, here are some other things you could be doing with your weekend:

Wine and Tapas

La Matanza de Acentejo is holding it's 14th Wine and tapas Fair in the Mercadillo del Agricultor (Farmer's Market), featuring the best wines from the area. On Sunday, 13th March, from 10 am to 3 pm, you can enjoy wines and tapas in a musical atmosphere.

Icod Discount Fair

Meanwhile the 19th annual Discount Fair on Saturday, 12th March, from 10 am to 9 pm, in Icod de los Vinos offers "articles of high quality at unbeatable prices" via 100 stalls on the streets Calle San Agustín and San Sebastián.

Arafo Crafts Fair
And finally, the 21st Arafo Crafts Fair takes place, in the Plaza San Juan Degollado, in the town of Arafo, on both Saturday, 12th March and Sunday, 13th March, alongside a program of kids' workshops, religious processions and  performances by folk musicians. Via: Artesanía de Tenerife.
