New Tenerife Terminal Nearing Completion
“We’ll have our new cruise terminal finished in August,” said Airam Díaz Pastor, commercial director for the Port of Tenerife in an interview with Cruise Industry News. He said the terminal was a 10 million euro investment that the port would recover in eight years.

Forest fires break out across islands
A series of forest fires broke out over the weekend, with roads in Tenerife closed whilst firefighters tacked 2 blazes. Across the islands, local governments have brought in measures to prevent fires, with authorities in La Gomera also banning activities that could lead to forest fires.

Art Meets Magic In Santa Cruz
Sat in a dark room watching a 1902 fantasy film and chuckling like a drain. Not how I had expected to start my art and culture trip to Santa Cruz but I wasn’t moaning. Green light given for Tenerife motor racing circuit
The €23m project, which has been delayed by a year, received the final consent this week, after Cabildo president Carlos Alonso signed the approval papers. The track should open in the next 2 years, with works expected to start in the next few months.

Gospel choir concert this Friday in Adeje
The Latonius with his Gospel Choir will be performing in Adeje cultural centre this Friday, 22 July, at 8.30pm. Entry is free. The performance is billed as a special tribute to Prince and will also feature special guests.
