Fiestas and large gatherings are still prohibited with social distancing and other restrictions still in force. Events listed here, therefore, are subject to cancellation or change and we will update, when and if any new information is made available.
The aim of the event was to provide a taster to tourists and other visitors of what they will see more of if they come to the carnival proper this February. In that, even the weather obliged as it was dull and cloudy throughout much of the three days!
One thing that was very un-typical of carnival in Tenerife was that none of the visitors seemed to have got the memo about dressing up. We did, because I'm used to Carnival proper, where you would definately feel really awkwardly out of place if you did NOT dress up ... only to be virtually the only two spectators (certainly tourists) in costume!
