Tomorrow, Tuesday, 13 February the Tenerife Island Corporation is activating "Operation Snows" between 8am and 6pm to guarantee visitors safe access to the Teide National Park after the snows that have fallen over recent weeks. The decision is subject to change, depending on the number of vehicles and the meteorological conditions.

Access via the TF-24 will only be by a free bus service being provided by TITSA, leaving from the centre of La Esperanza. Visitors can drive to La Esperanza, where 15 buses will operate, taking passengers to Izaña, Portillo Bajo and Portillo Alto, where the snows can be found. The first bus will leave at 9:30am with the last bus from Portillo Alto at 4:30pm.

Vehicles will be allowed access in both directions on the TF-38 from Chío and the TF-21 from Vilaflor, as far as the cable car station and will have to return back via the south, as access via the TF-21 - La Orotava and  TF-24 - La Esperanza will not be permitted.
