A Carnival Tsunami with Dorada Beer

Another wonderful carnival "tradition" is the annual beer advert from carnival sponsors, Dorada. Always a surreal offering, this year's does not disappoint and sees the "workers" in the brewery discussing how to make this year's video. They conclude that they're going to do it with the public's help and invite people to upload their own versions of the carnival song to www.dorada.es. The song is entitled, Marejada, marejada, Carnavales con Dorada and you can even download the lyrics (good luck with that!) Though fortunately you can get away with dressing up and dancing around and not actually singing anything.

Marejada, by the way translates to heavy seas, a storm surge: a coastal flood or tsunami-like phenomenon of rising water commonly associated with low pressure weather systems. Let's hope that only translates to a tsunami of uploads (or beer even) and doesn't materialise in the meteorological sense during carnival week!
