The big week of carnival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife - with the longest weekend of partying in its history - kicks off with the Cabalgata Anunciadora - Carnival Opening Parade on Friday, 21 February 2020. The parade starts at around 8 pm and lasts several hours, making its way through the city, eventually to the streets around the Plaza de España.

The Carrozas y Coches Engalanados (decorated floats and cars) will gather around the Plaza de la República Dominicana before joining the parade.
