Santa Cruz Council announces the contest for the official 2021 Carnival poster

Carnival 2020

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has announced the contest to choose the official poster for the Carnival 2021. As soon as the national authorities decreed the lifting of the State of Alarm, the capital city council invites interested parties to submit their designs for next year's carnival poster, between the dates of June 23 and July 23, both inclusive. A jury will select from among 10 finalists, once all of the designs have been submitted. The theme of the poster, as is the next edition of the carnival, will be "Carnivals of the World".

I won't go into the details of the contest rules, but this does indicate that the authorities are expecting the Carnival 2021 to go ahead. Of course, there could still be changes in format or dates and safety considerations, but it is still something to look forward to.
