The annual Tamaimo Hillclimb, the most famous and popular of these events in the island's Rally Calendar, which was to have taken place this weekend, will not be able to be held in the 2020 season. The coronavirus crisis and it's evolution in the Canary Islands in recent weeks, have made the sanitary measures, much more complex.

"As organizers, and given the new health requirements, we're not in a position to guarantee each of the points required, so we've made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 edition," lamented Loly Guanche. "We've been working for weeks and sending documents to the Ministry of Health, but the latest demands have made us decline the possibility of being on the road the first weekend of October, as planned," said the president of Barliamotorsport

The team's desire is to come back stronger in the 2021 season.
