La Laguna celebrates its 21st anniversary as a World Heritage Site with more than twenty activities that highlight its monumental legacy. Mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, and the Councilor for Historical Heritage, Elvira Jorge, announced the program of events, which has been adapted to the new normal caused by the COVID-19. Guided tours, exhibitions, theater and talks are some of the activities on offer to commemorate this distinction awarded by Unesco.

The various activities with which this twenty-first anniversary will be celebrated have already started this week and continue until January. A multitude of activities have been prepared, both for children and adults - in person and online - with the participation and collaboration of various organizations and entities, such as the Bishopric of Tenerife and the International Center for Heritage Conservation (Cicop).
