Guía de Isora Hillclimb

Participants in the Guia de Isora Hillclimb

Due to Covid-19 the 11th Guia de Isora Hillclimb had to be postponed in June, but the Isora Motorsport Team, far from opting for the easy suspension route, have fought tirelessly to go ahead on December 4 and 5, with 51 teams enrolled in the Official List of participants

The list of participating teams is headed by Garikoitz Flores from Navarra, with Talex M3; next to him in the category Juan Manuel Alonso from Tenerife and José Luis Rodríguez from Gran Canaria. Category II will be represented by Arunzu Quintero and Israel Marrero.

Category III (cars) will feature the participation of Antonio Gorrín, Juan Luis Cruz, José Alberto Díaz, Pedro Javier Afonso, Juan Carlos Brito, Jesús Tacoronte.

Friday is reserved for technical verifications, which for the first time will take place in the Balsa de Lomo del Balo (Balten) in the vicinity of the finish line.

On Saturday the competition itself will begin with free practice at 09:00 hours, and then the official training rounds, Race 1 and Race 2. In total, four rounds will be disputed, the completion of the competition being scheduled with the delivery of trophies to the first three classified in each category at 5:15 pm, also in the Balsa de Lomo del Balo (Balten).

In compliance with the Covid-19 Prevention Protocol and Plan, the event is declared as “Without Public”, and the Playa San Juan area is dispensed with, reducing the usual route on the TF highway -463 from 5,200 km to 4,685 km, in order to house the vehicles between the junction with the TF-47 highway and the starting line.
