Pinolere Handicraft Fair 2021

Feria de Artesanía de Pinolere 2021

A little later in the year than usual, the Pinolere Crafts Fair 2021, in its XXXVI (36th) edition, is taking place on 8th, 9th and 10th October 2021, both at the Pinolere Ethnographic Park, as well as online. This year's edition is sub-titled, "Dreams on Paper and Card".

The organization decided to postpone it from the usual slot on the calendar (the first weekend of September) and move the show to the second weekend of October to guarantee its celebration and not have it suspended a few hours after its start, as happened last year.

"This year the Pinolere Handicraft Fair will be face-to-face, I do not contemplate another option," said the mayor of La Orotava, Francisco Linares, during the presentation of the poster for the XXXVI edition of the exhibition back in August.

The event will be held under a strict anti-Covid-19 security protocol, in an open-air space, of about 10,000 square meters, with capacity control, safety distance and a one-way circuit will be established to visit all the stalls of the artisans. The purchase of tickets will be online on the platform www.tickety.es. Likewise, the use of a mask will be mandatory to access the venue and hydroalcoholic gel will be provided in each space.

Solidarity with those affected by the La Palma volcano

"The 180 artisans who will participate in the 2021 Pinolere Handicraft Fair, have contacted us to see the possibility of helping in some way those affected by the La Palma volcano. They have proposed for us to create a space in our Fair, where the participating artisans will give ONE product or piece to this space. Visitors will be able to purchase that product at the price that the artisans set and all proceeds will be sent directly to the official institutions that are collecting the aid for the victims of this misfortune (Cabildo de La Palma, City Councils of El Paso, Los LLanos de Aridane and Tazacorte). The organization (Cultural Association Pinolere) will manage this stall during the three days of the fair. The stand will be called TODOS CON LA ISLA BONITA (ALL WITH THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND…)"
