Carnival 2022 almost thirty candidates aspire to become Queens in the three categories

Antonia Garrido Francés, Ylenia Rodríguez Domínguez and Naomi María Cabrera Pulido,
who became the Guardians of the Sceptre in 2021

Although uncertainty still prevails over the dates of Carnival 2022, the desire to return to normality is clearly pushing hard, so much so that the total number of aspiring Queens almost returns to figures of prior to the pandemic. Thus, there were 29 candidates who aspire to the sceptre of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in its different categories: senior, junior and adult, when the registration period closed.

Councillor, Alfonso Cabello, stated that “the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival is in very good health; we are very proud of the 29 aspiring Queens, their designers and their sponsors”.

The Science Fiction Carnival contests will present 11 candidates for adult queen, 10 for junior queen and eight for senior queen.

The Queen contests that will be held at the Tenerife International Centre for Trade Fairs and Congresses will include Naomi María Cabrera Pulido, Antonia Garrido Francés and Ylenia Rodríguez Domínguez, the court of Guardians of the Sceptre who guard the royal staff from the show Santa Cruz Corazón del Carnaval, the program that closed the 2021 edition.
