Vote for the Carnival 2022 poster design

One of the finalists for the Carnival 2022 poster

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through the Autonomous Organization of Festivities and Recreational Activities (OAFAR), opens from 00:00 on Thursday the 13th January, the online voting period to choose the Carnival 2022 poster from among the ten works selected by a jury appointed for this purpose. Now it's the public who will make the final selection.

Voting is open from today until January 23 at 11:59 p.m., and can be done through the Carnaval de Tenerife website at this page.

Only one vote per IP address will be allowed and voting will be blind, so there will be no references to the support that each of the posters collects during the process.

The titles of the 10 works preselected by the jury for this final phase, translate to: "A near future", "Love", "Let yourself be carried away by the dimension of Carnival", " C-Arte-L del C-arnava-l: Carnival art is in the street", "Andromeda Carnival", "Hello, Chicharrícolas", "Carnival Invasion", "Casquimia", "Carnival 2222?" and "Abducted 22".

Councillor for fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, encourages “all citizens to participate, whether they are carnival lovers or not”; since "it is about something more than a simple poster".

From the first advertising poster designed by Juan Galarza in 1962 for the so-called Winter Festivities, this artistic element has become a business card for the city and an exhibition of its main cultural, heritage and tourist values.
