A varied musical offer for the third weekend of the Fiestas de Mayo in Santa Cruz

A varied musical offer for the third weekend of the Fiestas de Mayo

The Plaza de La Candelaria will host this Friday, the 13th, starting at 7:00 p.m. the Canarias Urban Fest, with a cast of emerging artists such as GCano, Nay Arias, J. Ramos, Urban Life, Lion Hernández, Carmen or DJ Tosco. In this concert current urban rhythms such as rap, disco or reggaeton, among others, will be addressed.

On Saturday, the 14th, will be the musical project @Timples2021, which offers a concert starting at 9:30 p.m. with the participation of timplists Benito Cabrera, Domingo Rodríguez “El Colorao”, Germán López, Althay Páez and Yone Rodriguez. These musicians will perform a sound review of the evolution of the timple as a solo instrument, interpreting a traditional repertoire with arrangements that take each song through new musical languages.

That same day at 8:00 p.m., mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, and Councillor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, will present the prizes for the Flower Crosses Contest; to the XIV Contest-Exhibition of School Crosses; and the Children's Drawing and Painting Contest within the XLV Regional Exhibition of Canarian Crafts, Flowers and Plants 2022.

The weekend's musical program is completed by the XXVII edition of the "Santa Cruz Corazón Mundial del Bolero" Festival, which this Sunday, the 15th, starting at 9:00 p.m., in which Luis Villa, Emilio Negrín & Yanira Martín and the group Alma de Bolero will participate. The veteran festival ´Santa Cruz, Corazón Mundial del Bolero´ was born in 1994 to commemorate the fifth centenary of the founding of the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and has established itself as the most important of its kind at state level.
