Fiestas de San Alejo, the final days of April and 1st May.
San Antonio de Padua, 13th June.
Virgen del Buen Viaje, 31st August.
Nuestra Señora del Coromoto, a festivity that's popular with those who have at some point had to abandon their homes to go to live and work in Venezuela.
Santísimo Cristo del Calvario, third weekend in October.
San Isidro Labrador, in the middle of the month of May.
Nuestra Señora de la Begoña, first week of June.
San José, third weekend in September.
Nuestra Señora de la Milagrosa, second week of October.

Unlike so many journalists writing about the resorts, Pamela has not only actually been to Tenerife, she lived on the island for 16 years, for the majority of that time in a rural valley immersed in the local culture in a way that few outsiders have been privileged to do and gaining a wealth of knowledge about the island, its people, their customs, fiestas and celebrations that she is now able to share via this site. Fluent in Spanish, she also translated and reported for the various English-language newspapers.
