Official Weather Information for Tenerife

A site with very comprehensive weather information is TuTiempo.net. Helps if you can read Spanish, but they use official data from the Instituto Nacional de Meteorología (National Meteorological Institute) in Spain and present it in lots of useful ways, including current weather data, last 24 hours, 7-day forecasts, historical weather data, sunrise and sunset times ... Not only for North and South Tenerife (airports), but there are forecasts for a whole list of areas within Santa Cruz Province such as the resort areas of Adeje or Puerto de la Cruz, major towns on other islands, such as Santa Cruz de la Palma or San Sebastián de la Gomera.

Is it going to rain in Tenerife?

It's a good question and, is one that several searchers have been asking recently. Using historical data on Tenerife's weather (it does not come with guarantees), this shows the average number of days with precipitation (that it rains) in any given month.
Average Number of Days with Rain in Tenerife
It mainly rains in Tenerife between November and March, but even in November, the wettest month of the year, the number of days that it's likely to rain is still only two. What it doesn't say is that this can mean 'day when there was a short sharp shower', not necessarily that it rained cats and dogs all day long. It might also mean it rains at night. And, even if it does rain, as it's invariably warmer, it dries quicker.
