Tenerife Carnival Dates for 2018

The biggest party of Tenerife's year in 2018 starts here!

That's it again for carnival for another year in the island's capital and the north of Tenerife and before it moves off to the south of the island, here, for the serious forward planners amongst you, are the expected dates for Tenerife carnival in 2018.

Santa Cruz

  • Wednesday, February 7th, 2018 - Election of the Carnaval Queen
  • Friday, February 9th, 2018 - Carnaval Opening Parade
  • Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 - Main Parade
  • Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 - Burial of the Sardine
  • Saturday, February 17th, 2018 - Daytime Carnaval
  • Sunday, February 18th, 2018 - Parade of Vintage Cars

Puerto de la Cruz
  • Thursday, February 8th, 2018 - Election of the Carnival Queen
  • Saturday, February 10th, 2018 - Proclamatory Parade
  • Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 - Burial of the Sardine
  • Friday, February 16th, 2018 - Men´s Marathon in High Heels
  • Saturday, February 17th, 2018 - Main Parade

Güímar 

  • Friday, February 16th, 2018 - Las Burras de Güímar

Los Gigantes

Using the any year schedule for Los Gigantes carnival, we calculate that their carnival should start on Friday, 23rd February 2018, with their main parade being held on Sunday, 25th February 2018. Whether it will all be held on the one weekend, or split into two, as in 2017, we cannot speculate, but will update when we get any information.

 Los Cristianos  

As ever, we won't even guess when Los Cristianos carnival will be held in 2018. We will update when any information becomes available from the authorities in Arona.
