| Los Cristianos Carnival Poster 2019 |
Yesterday, the poster for Los Cristianos (Arona) Carnival was announced and we now know that the theme for this carnival is to be "The Jungle". The dates of Los Cristianos Carnival 2019 - from 21 March to 1 April - have been known for some time - indeed we updated them and created the Facebook Event for Los Cristianos Carnival 2019 back in Nov 2018 - but yesterday's announcement (via) did also include further dates and information on the main events:
- Thursday, 21 March - Presentation of candidates for Carnival Queen
- Friday, 22 March - Comparsas Contest
- Saturday 23 March - Opening Parade (Cabalgata anunciadora) in Playa de Las Américas followed by the Wig Party
- Sunday, 24 March - Carnaval Concert, Carnival Procession and Murga Groups
- Monday, 25 March - Choreographed Dance Groups Festival
- Tuesday, 26 March - Gala Election of the Senior Carnival Queen
- Wednesday, 27 March - Gala Election of the Junior Carnival Queen
- Thursday 28 March - Election of the Carnaval Queen (Gala de Elección de la Reina)
- Friday 29 March - OAP's Carnival Dance and Drag Queen Gala
- Saturday 30 March - Daytime Carnival (Carnaval de día)
- Sunday 31 March - Pets' Costume Contest in the morning and, in the afternoon, Carnival Main Parade in Los Cristianos (Coso Apoteósico)
- Monday 1 April - Burial of the Sardine (Entierro de la Sardina)
