Plenilunio de Santa Cruz is back in the capital between 7 - 9 October 2022 with around 100 activities in 13 different locations around the city. This includes music and markets; a Gastro Beer Fest and the Santa Cruz Asian Festival.
October 12 is the Fiesta Nacional de España (National Day of Spain), which is a national public holiday. The annual celebration includes a parade of the Spanish Armed forces, held in Madrid and presided over by the reigning monarchs. Similarly, military celebrations usually take place in Tenerife.
La Librea Valle de Guerra in the Valle de Guerra, San Cristobal de La Laguna with its re-enactment of the naval Battle of Lepanto - is scheduled this year for Saturday, 15 October 2022, at 9 pm in the church square of the Iglesia Nuestra Señora Del Rosario. The annual Craft Show returns to La Laguna in October. The IX Crafts Show will be held from October 21 to 23 in the Plaza de La Concepción with 40 stalls expected, showcasing the work of local artisans.
